Wanna be part of this. . .

As we were walking through downtown yesterday, one of my girls was making faces. She had just eaten some chips with salsa and her mouth was burning. A vendor from a street stand simply said "ten mija" and handed over a coke. Who gives away coke in the middle of downtown to a thirsty teenager anyway? Our God! And why not , we are his children after all. We both shouted "gracias a Dios" as we walked away.

Many of you have received my updates or have had a lens into my life through my blog. God has opened the doors for me to make a more official commitment to the children at Casa Hogar Douglas, specifically my dorm of 9 girls. I have decided to join Back2Back staff and continue serving at Casa Hogar Douglas. My role will be different, I will be living at the children’s home, be a caregiver to the girls for a few more months, then I will use my experience as a springboard to train other caregivers in this home as well as in other homes Back2Back serves. This will be done using our child development model which seeks to advance orphans spiritually, through education, physically, emotionally, and socially.

The purpose of this letter is to ask you to join my financial team as I continue this journey. My goal is to have 35 team members that support me with $55 monthly, for a year and strengthen me with their prayers.
