This is a poem I wrote for one of my girls. Her greatest
desire and prayer was to be able to live with family. Thank you Jesus for
hearing our prayers and opening doors. Today she is reunited with her family
and living with her aunt.

Quiero el amor de mama,
A mother’s love,
A mother’s love.
Don’t know how to give you that.
Don’t know how to express that.
Not prepared,
Not good enough.
No instruction manual.
No book can teach me how.
I can only hug you when you cry.
Tener nuestras platicas.
Make your hair settle down.
Sit with you on the church steps when it’s too
Hard to slide down.
Warm up your food every night.
Sing you to sleep.
And pray.
And pray.
And pray.
