When Jesus Visits
One of the most amazing things about Jesus was his ability to walk into a sinner's house, as a stranger, and leave a lasting impact. When Jesus came to visit Zaccheus, he gave half his goods to the poor. When Jesus came to visit Lazarus, he raised him from the dead. When Jesus revisited the disciples, after his death, he commissioned them to make disciples of all the world. When the presence of Jesus came to visit my girls, he drew us closer together.
When I came in to these girls' home, as a stranger, and started giving orders to clean their room, brush their teeth, behave, and sit right, there was some resistance. Slowly God has been developing my role in the lives of these girls. I've had opportunities to talk about romance, fear, dreams and what God has done in my life. After a church service one girl was so touched all she could do was cry as I hugged her. What could I say, except that Jesus loved her and so did I. God has opened their hearts. It's no longer about what they can or can't do, but now a relationship has formed and walls have been torn down. Now I hear "te quiero mucho Anita" "no descanses ahorra, cuidanos," and "ya te extrañaba."
Thank you Jesus for your visit! I believe that our relationship with him is what will make the difference. Thank you for your prayers, because of them, things are happening!
